Sandra and Jer are friends and for whatever reason it is odd to shoot your friends. I’ve known Jer for well over 10 years now and he can probably tell stories about me that only a few others that we still hang around know or were at. Sandra and Jer are probably the perfect six-degree of Curt O’Neil couple possible. They’re so good at it most connections back to me are probably two degrees. Sandra’s sister plays on my slo-pitch team and that sister’s husband is Bryan of “Bryan the 2nd shooter fame”. Sandra and Jer’s wedding next year is a great day for me as it is a day off – I get to attend their wedding as a guest and not the photographer so as a consolation they got me to shoot their engagement shoot for them.
We started the shoot off walking through the Soo Canal finding different spots to shoot. After there we went to the waterfront around the Roberta Bondar Pavilion and shot what was available. While walking the boardwalk I noticed a turtle down on some rocks, I’m not a turtle expert but it didn’t seem like a location for him to be so he’s featured in here as well. To finish off the shoot we had my favourite part of the day – lunch!
Thanks for the great day Sandra and Jer and can’t wait for your wedding next June!
ok i’m gonna get a little sappy.
first off curt, that is one of the best shoots i have seen you do. and second, there is nothing better than seeing two of your best friends so happy. we aren’t a pda group of friends, so it’s so nice to be able to see the love they have for each other.
Photo’s look great Curt.. i guess thats in part due to the fact that San and I are very photogenic!! (oh, and the turtle too!!!) Thanks again.
I have to agree Jer – you both are very photogenic,,,and Curt – you did a great,,,no,,not great, SUPER,,, job. The last time I saw Jer – he was,,,uhhhh,,,,a little over the top at J and A’s wedding,,,not sure if he remembers that moment or not – – – so seeing him so romantically photographed with the woman of his dreams is nice to see,,,and Sandra,,,,,gorgeous!!! – – the black and whites are fantastic,,,,,,thanks for sharing. I know it’s hard to shoot friends sometimes,,,and you really caught them well,,,,,,
OMG….awesome! My sister has never been so beautiful!!!
