I had a streak of engagement shoots where we were close to water so instead of dodging it and walking around the edges I made the couples get in it – downside of this is I also had to get in it. For those who really know me, I can’t swim, I’m okay standing in shallow water but anything up around the face isn’t good. Turns out I lay down often while shooting. Anyway Mandy and Mike were awesome and would go anywhere my crazy ideas would put them. Wading through three feet of water to reach some rocks, then in the opposite direction to get somewhere else then back to shore.
We used two locations north of Sault Ste Marie – the first was Chippewa Falls and the second was Batchawana Bay beach. The sun started setting when we made it to the beach and made for some awesome shots when we got in the water again. Batchawana Bay is part of Lake Superior so generally this water is cold but this year it was actually nice and warm so we didn’t mind wading through it trying to find some good depths.
Thanks for the great day guys and good luck on your tropical wedding.

Awesome as usual!! The beach ones at the end are HOT but my favourite is the one where he is lifting her up out of the water with the sunset. Perfect!
