About a month short to the day of my own wedding I was back at Camp Wakonda this time though it was for Margaret and John. Camp Wakonda is one of those unique places that you can transform into a fun filled day for not only you but your guests attending the wedding.
The big memory for the day for me (and I’m sure for them) was a joke that wasn’t. Sorry Margaret; I have to. Margaret and the rest of the bridesmaids showed up to the site, her mom walks out of a cabin asking where Margaret’s dress was, Margaret told her mom that she was supposed to bring it. Situated directly between this conversation I assumed Margaret’s mom was playing an awesome joke. But then the back-and-forth continued a little longer than a joke would. That’s when “Well I guess the wedding is delayed an hour!” was uttered and everyone went into scramble mode. Looking back at it, it is a good memory and worked out for the best as the dark clouds overhead cleared up enough giving the outdoor ceremony perfect atmosphere. It also allowed us to spend some time with the guys before the ceremony and grab some shots of them.
Bryan was along for the adventure assisting me on the day. He was able to get some great landscape and detail shots that I normally don’t have a lot of time for.
Thanks for the great day guys!
