Another shoot from the fall hitting the site this time featuring May and Mark on their engagement shoot. We were able to use the main grounds at the Soo Locks as Mark got us the special permission as he used to work at the site. And with that simple piece of information I’m making a segue into how Mark actually proposed (trust me, I’ll get there after my mini winded babble). Now guys, this will make the most of us look like putzes and girls this may make a number of you jealous. You see, Mark preplanned most of the wedding before even proposing to May, including me. I wasn’t aware of this until I received an email from Mark about a month before his actual proposal asking about a good time for doing the engagement shoot as he was planning to propose shortly and wanted to do the session soon after the proposal. I took a second and did one of those “wait a minute, you’re not even engaged yet!” type of replies and wished him the best of luck. Mark ended up having May come and meet him one night after work where he had everyone else leave the site and had a romantic private dinner waiting for her in the Superintendent’s Residence. BOOM proposal. So with the residence being the actual location of the proposal it made the perfect location for their engagement session. We worked around the residence and the gardens and then made our way over to the islands where we ran into some fisherman coming back from a day of fishing. It’s always awesome when you have random people join in the shots as it helps grab some of those crazy moments that happen while we’re out there.
Thanks for the awesome night guys!
